FAQ

What is Permanent Cosmetics?

Permanent Cosmetics is a state of the art form of cosmetic tattooing. The technique used for Permanent Cosmetics is called Micro Pigmentation. It is a non surgical procedure where tiny individual particles of pigment are implanted into the dermis layer of skin with the use of a specially designed and approved instrument.

How long does the procedure take?

Each procedure should take 1.5-2 hours. Follow up procedures usually take about 30-45 minutes per area. Some clients may take slightly longer depending on the complexity of the procedure and the individual response to the anesthetic.

Are the procedures painful?

No. All procedures are performed with the use of a professional grade topical anesthetic. You should feel no discomfort at any time during the procedure, but rather more of a “tickling” feeling. On the rare occasion that a client does feel any discomfort after the initial anesthetic, the procedure is stopped and a secondary specialized anesthetic is applied.

How long can I expect the permanent makeup to last?

It typically lasts 2-3 years, but may vary by individual. Permanent cosmetics pigment is designed to be safely broken down by the body over time. Each individual’s skin holds and breaks down the pigment differently. Results are also effected by the skin care of each individual. Exposure to the sun, chlorine or other chemicals can effect the results as well. In order to keep your permanent makeup looking its best, touch ups are recommended every couple of years.

Are the procedures safe?

All procedures are extremely safe. All of the pigments are FDA approved and specifically designed for use with permanent makeup procedures. All procedures are performed with safety as a primary focus. All materials and surfaces are thoroughly sterilized before and after each procedure.

Who would benefit from Permanent Cosmetics?

Mothers or busy professionals who want to look “put together” but don’t have a lot of time to apply makeup. Physically active people who want to look their best at during activities such as swimming, running, biking or tennis and don’t want to remove and reapply cosmetics every time. People with allergies or sensitive skin who often cannot use cosmetics. Vision or motor impaired who often find it difficult to apply cosmetics themselves. Anyone wanting to save money, time and wants to escape the daily routine of applying cosmetics. For those who want to look their best from the moment they wake up to the moment they lie down.
